Ark Self Storage make storage easy! Instead of having to hire a van or removal company to transport your belongings to our depot, we can deliver and return secure storage units to your door. Of course, if you prefer you can deliver and collect yourself in your own vehicle.

What Size Storage Unit?

The size of a storage unit is approximately 7'2” high by 7' long by 5' wide providing a footprint of 25 sq ft.

How Many Storage Units Do I Need?

Please see our space estimate to calculate the space you need. Wheter you're delivering tous in your vehicle, or loading a unit on your doorstep,our staff are always on hand to advise.

Remember you only pay for the units you use. We can always arrage another unit if required.

When Can I Load A Storage Unit?

We will deliver the unit within a one hour window, you can load the unit morning, afternoon or weekends.

Do You Sell Boxes And Packaging Materials?

Packaging materials can be delivered with your unit or can be colected in person from our storage centre. If you require, we can deliver to your door – there may be a small charge for this if you live outside the local area.

We stock an extensive range of packing materials, from boxes to bubble wrap.

Do I Have To Reserve A Unit In Advance?

No. You just need to complete and sign a storage agreement. In order to give you the best service, we would appreciate some advance notice and advance booking if possible.

Will Ark Self Storage Accept Deliveries On My Behalf?

Yes, if arranged in advance.

We will accept deliveries on your behalf, however, you will need to transfer these into your storage unit at your earliest convienience. We will sign for the packages delivered but not the contents.

Do I Have Access To My Storage Unit?

Unlimited access is available free of charge during our normal opening hours. To avoid any inconvienience if you could give us advance notice then we can move the unit to our access area prior to your arrival.

Do I Need My Own Padlock?

Yes, as only you have access to your unit(s). Small padlocks are available to purchase from our storage centre.

How Long Can I Rent My Unit For?

As long as you require – a week, month or even a year.

We will invoice for the first months storage in advance then continue to invoice on a monthly basis whilst you store. At the end of the storage period we will calculate the number of days due and provide a final invoice or credit.

How Much Will Storage Space Cost Me?

When you have calculated how many storgae units you require, call us on 01472 811 822 and request your personal quotation, or request you quote online and we'll call you back.

All prices include unit charge rates, service utility bills, maintenance costs and VAT.

You will require a padlock to secure your unit and additional insurance if required.

Are The Units Heated?

Even though the units are not heated, the temperature within them remains constant. The storage centre is well insulated so that the items stored are never too hot or cold.

Are There Any Prohibited Items?

Almost anything can be stored except;

Living Items ie. Animals and plants

Hazardous Materials – Flammable liquids or explosives

Unauthorised & Illegal Goods
